Special Exhibitions
DISCARTED asks artists to work with trash, discarded objects and materials to raise questions and ideas, aesthetic and moral, about the life of the planet our wasteful society threatens.
We have invited featured artists who have demonstrated their abilities to stimulate awareness and new ways of thinking around art, sustainability and the environment. Visit
Ojai to view installations and performances by Joshua Short, Joseph Umali Fernandez, Enrico Natali, Fallen Fruit and an homage to Gordon Matta-Clark's famous Garbage Wall. There will also be a panel discussion about art made from trash, an assemblage artists workshop with Liz Gordon and a special film screening of filmic works of Gordon Matta-Clark at UCSB's Pollock Theatre with introductory lecture by Jessamyn Fiore.
